Christina Marie Elizabeth Freeman

December 24, 1987 - February 12, 2006

Christina Marie Elizabeth (Punkie) Freeman, age 18 of Joplin, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2006 at Freeman Hospital West from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born December 24, 1987 in Baxter Springs, Kansas, she had lived in Joplin since 2003, moving from Carl Junction, Missouri.

She was employed at Academy Sports. A member of the Joplin High School Senior Class, she played First Base on the Girls' Softball Team and wore number 24. She had also played softball at Commerce, Oklahoma, Baxter Springs, and Carl Junction.

She was a member of Cardin, Oklahoma Baptist Church. Survivors include her parents Gregg and Kerry Busby-Freeman of the home; six sisters, Brandy Robinson, Megan Freeman, Tosha Freeman, Makenzie Freeman, Angie Freeman, and Ahna Webb all of Joplin; six brothers, Jake Maness of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mike Freeman, Trevor Freeman, Devin Freeman, Dustin Freeman and Dakota Freeman, all of Joplin; a niece, Kaydence Robinson of Joplin; maternal grandmother, Christine Webb of Commerce; paternal grandmother, Patricia Freeman of Alba, Missouri; several aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Christina's mother Kerry is the president of the Jasper-Newton Counties MADD Chapter.
